Ukraine exports 2 bn kW/h of electric energy in January-May 201122.06.2011 In 5 months of 2011, Ukrainian electric energy exports reached 2 bn kW/h, which was 16.4% higher than in January-May 2010. In May 2011 420.3 mln kW/h were exported (+35.1% yoy). Electric energy production grew by 2.6% yoy to 14.1 bn kW/h in May 2011. According to the report of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, in January-May 2011, Belarus remained the main importer of Ukrainian electric energy (39%), the share of Hungary constituted 31.3%/ 22% of total exports volume went to Slovak Republic; 7% - to Moldova; the share of Russia was equal to 0.4% and the share of Romania constituted 0.3%. Recall that in 2010, Ukraine has exported 4.218 bn kW/h of electric energy (+2.7% yoy). Belarus, with 69.7% share, has been the main importer of Ukrainian electric energy in 2010. |
